Links We Like
Peter Fournier and Catherine Fournier
This is by no means a complete or even long list of sites that we find interesting or useful. While we have visited and checked the sites listing us, we have not checked all their links, or the links from those links. As always, surf with caution and don't be surprised by anything. If you know of a site that we may be interested in including, please let us know by mailing us. Oh, and by the way, these are listed (roughly) in alphabetical order, not in order of preference.

Ecumenical Miracle Rosary
Created
by Lutheran married to a Catholic, this rosary uses the
Lord's Prayer and other prayers that are useful in
devotions and personal faith formation. The creator
calls the rosary "ecumenical", since the prayers and
"miracles" are either directly from the Bible or are
derived from the Bible. As such, any Christian
denomination can feel comfortable reciting the prayers
and meditating on the miracles. He calls the rosary a
"miracle" rosary because all of the meditations deal
with the miracles performed by Jesus both before and
after his resurrection. There is no claim, however, that
praying this devotion will lead to a greater probability
of God's granting miracles on our behalf.

"For almost thirty years, the sisters of the Daughters of St Paul Choir have shared the consoling message of the God's love through choral recordings. It's a ministry of prayer for us: As we sing, we pray for all those whom our voices will reach through different channels, whether on the radio or on a movie soundtrack, in a car or on the phone, on Spotify or through a CD in a hospital room. And what a consolation it is for us when people tell us of the hope they have found (or of lives saved from suicide) through our music!"

Marriage, Family, Children, including Fertility Awareness
Note: Not infrequently, I encounter what can only be called "turf wars" between the various Fertility Awareness (aka NFP) methods, especially between proponents of temperature-only and sympto-thermal methods. I have no interest or patience with such conversations, they are divisive, unflattering, damaging and pointless. We should all focus rather on our agreement; fertility awareness methods respect both fertility and marriage, artificial birth control does not.

Homeschooling
How Much Does It Cost to Homeschool Your Child? suggested by a reader.
If you are trying to validate homeschooling within your budget, it becomes important to know the costs. The cost of homeschooling depends on an array of variables so it is important to take all considerations into mind prior to taking the leap.
Domestic-Church has reviewed the page and it seems an excellent starting point for parents who are considering home schooling their children.
Homeschooling suggested by a reader.
Quote from householdquotes.co.uk/homeschooling/:
"Is Home Schooling Right for Your Family?
Home schooling is not the ideal solution for everybody. Before committing to this path, conduct research into whether it will benefit your child."
Domestic-Church has reviewed the page and it seems an excellent starting point for parents who are considering home schooling their children.

student evaluation, and enrichment opportunities. The

determine what will work best for them."

it seems a good resource for people looking for online
home-schooling though not necessarily Catholic.

complete, family-friendly PreK–12 Catholic education.
It is CHC's belief that, when solid academics are

of children will blossom spiritually, emotionally, and
academically. CHC's educational approach lays a joyful
foundation, resulting in children who achieve at and
above grade level, do not ‘burn out,’ and instead
‘learn how to learn.’

Chastity and abstinence when dating are not the same!
Chastity is very important to dating in this modern age!
Abstinence simply means saying "no" to sex when dating!
Chastity means more than just abstinence. Chastity
means asking God to help you make the right decisions
when dating! Chastity means asking God to guide your
thoughts, your words and your actions on every date you
have.

The
Caelum et Terra blog
A quote from the first essay when Caelum et Terra was a
quarterly magazine … since then transitioned to a blog:
"We are appalled, too, by the domination of faith by politics, whether of the left or the right, and are weary of watching the struggle of a joyless “ain’t it awful” orthodoxy against a heterodoxy which seems intent not only on throwing out the proverbial baby with the bathwater but on smashing the bathtub as well. We are tired of these selective approaches to the Faith, both of which strike us as fundamentally assimilationist in nature. The whole Catholic, it seems to us, would not be a creature of the “right” or the “left” or even of the “center” but of the Transcendent, and would not consider the terms Catholic and radical or orthodox and prophetic to be mutually exclusive. Orthodoxy should be liberating, merely setting the limits within which vision and creativity can flourish. Like a wall around a garden (Chesterton’s image) it is not an end in itself but rather the condition for fruition."
